
What is the Core Golf Academy?
The Core Golf Academy at Whitewater in partnership with The Golf Association of Ontario (GAO) is pleased to launch a new Golf Development Center (GDC) in Thunder Bay designed to provide a clear developmental pathway for junior golfers in the local community. Developed with support from Golf Canada and the Canadian PGA, the local Centre will be managed by Canadian PGA Class A Professional and Head Coach, Dustin Wilson. Golf Development Centers are now in place at more than 25 facilities in the province, stretching from Thunder Bay to the Greater Toronto Area to Kingston with expansion plans underway to include more facilities as the programs roll out across the province.
Who should participate?
Participants must possess a passion for sport and for golf, and typically have:
- Participated in other sports
- Strong work ethic
- Good success in school environment
- Strong athletic behaviors (nutrition, sleep, active lifestyle, etc.)
- A positive attitude and outlook on life
- An interest in learning and developing golf skills
